WHAT ARE THE HOURS?
NOTE NEW HOURS: Wednesdays, SATURDAYS, and Sundays – CLOSED to the public (but they can still correspond with people on Wednesdays); other week days – OPEN 8-5. Call ahead before coming out around holidays.

WHAT ARE THE FEES?
The process DOES NOT have to be completed in person! ADOPTION – $100, INCLUDES spay/neuter, basic exam, vaccinations, and microchip! RESCUE – FREE for GA licensed rescues! Out-of-state rescues, please contact the shelter for details. NOTE: ALL adopted animals are transported to Four Paws Animal Hospital in Statham, GA, to receive discounted care and are picked up by new owners / agents from there. The hospital also has a boarding facility. The phone number is 770-725-PETS (7387).

HOW URGENTLY IN NEED ARE THE ANIMALS?
Call AND e-mail BEFORE 8:30 A.M. on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15. See contact information above. Generally, animals are subject to lethal injection after five (5) days of impoundment. Injections typically occur on Wednesdays, but because the shelter becomes SO FULL at times, they may occur more frequently.

The following animals are NEW since the last post but may still be “extra urgent” due to their being at the animal control at or beyond their typically allotted five (5) days and/or are owner-surrendered. Such animals are therefore subject to lethal injection at any time.

Pen 4: #04-003, Himalayan seal point, 1-3 yr Male, soft & silky boy, friendly & handsome with blue eyes





Pen 12: #04-029, DMH, 2-3 yr Black Female, sweet & calm girl, loved a chin rub




Pen 20: #04-027, DMH, 6 mth Black Female, little shy but warmed up quickly, she has little tufts of hair coming out of her ears, very cute



Pen 27: #04-017.
Chi/Papilon X, 5+ yr Female, cute little face on her, friendly girl who would make a great lap dog!




Pen 30: #04-028, “Emmie”, Lhasa Apso, 4 yr spayed Female, little shy but not scared, another one who would make a great lap dog





Pen 43: #04-015, shep X, tri colored, adoption pending, hyper & cute little one




Run 1: #04-014, border collie, 2-3 yr white/black male, talkative gentle boy, love the legs on him



Run 2: #04-033, aussie X, 1 yr 3 mth white/black Male, owner surrender, “Harley”, calm gentle boy, love the black patch over one eye, I bet he would be great with some kids!




Run 3: #03-187, beagle X, 3-5 yr Tri Male, rescue pending, cute little guy who looks all beagle




Run 4: 04-026, hound X, 3-5 yr red Female, gorgeous girl who was very calm, sat there so quietly while I was taking her pictures & got very excited about her treat




Run 6: #03-151, lab X, 1-3 yr yellow Female, another quiet calm girl, gorgeous one!




Run 8: #04-034, red tick, 1-2 yr red/white Female, hyper girl who was biting the bars to get to me, sweet as can be!




Run 9: #04-016, pit, 1-2 yr red/white Female, another gorgeous calm girl, couldn’t figure why the dog next door was making suck a fuss, she never made a sound & seemed sweet when she took the treat from me




Run 10: #04-032, rott X, 1-1/2 yr black/brown Male, owner surrender, “Puppy”, tail is docked, HYPER vocal boy, he literally danced on his 2 back legs & turned a circle when I got to him




Run 11: #04-012, hound X, 1-2 yr black/brown Female, hyper girl who was very happy, LOVE the ears on her!
